I ate my first meal in Asia at a McDonalds

It's Friday 9:05 PM right now

So Jared and I arrived in Hong Kong! We exchanged money and got on some busses with the other 30+ people who are with us. The drivers are crazier then Guatemalan drivers. I closed my eyes more on these two story busses than any other car ride I've ever taken! We are staying in "Temple Housing". Which is a were those who travel long distances to visit the temple stay. This is the first time ever, that they are letting any one stay longer than one day. We get to stay here the whole weekend. I have mixed feeling about staying here. Boys and Girls cannot stay here. Instead you sleep in a broom closet with four bunk beds in it. It's hard to not sleep with Jared, because I've just gotten so use to it. I'm just glad I'm not one of the three or so, people who are married, but choose to leave their spouse at home for six months.
After getting to temple housing we were shown to the grocery store and to the biggest mall I've ever seen. I thought I was in heaven till I realized if I bought more than three things there we wouldn't have any more money for the entire trip... I did how ever pay for a very tasty meal. Our first meal in Hong Kong was purchased at McDonalds. I came to the other half of the world to be adventurous and I ate at McDonalds. What a shame.
Just right now I saw a girl use the bathroom and not wash her hands!!!!! Is this a common thing or is it just her? Please someone reply, and please tell me they wash their hands!!!!!
Back to the post, We got had to wait in lines for ever so we missed the four a'clock session. We are hopefully going to make it to the seven AM one tomorrow morning. If we don't we have four others times to go tomorrow. Now it is just time to catch up one some sleep and really get ready for this adventure! Good night everyone!

  1. It really just depends on the person. Some people do stick their hands in the toilet and flush, but other people choose to use the sink. I'd say about two people in China flush their hands, while about 95% of them wash them.
